About Us

Storehouse began as the Cloverdale Community Kitchen, founded in 2011

The Cloverdale Community Kitchen (CCK) began with a simple mission, to serve meals to those in need, and has grown into a cornerstone of care in our community. When the City of Surrey and the RCMP asked Pacific Community Church to step in after a local soup kitchen closed in 2011, we answered the call with open arms.

What started in a small kitchen quickly outgrew its space. Thanks to generous community support and a grant from the Surrey Homelessness & Housing Society, we proudly opened a full-size commercial kitchen in 2013, allowing us to serve even more people with dignity and warmth.

In 2019, we expanded our services by opening a food bank to meet the growing needs of those facing food insecurity. The following year, in 2020, we launched a mobile meals program to deliver hot, nutritious meals directly to individuals unable to reach our kitchen, ensuring no one is left behind.

In 2023, CCK officially became its own charitable organization, known as Storehouse Community Hub Society, marking an important step in our continued growth and sustainability.

Recognized as Not-For-Profit of the Year by the Cloverdale Chamber of Commerce in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2024, Storehouse Community Hub Society continues to be powered by compassion and community.
